Azul invites tile artists to beautify the walls of the Royal Palace of Évora. When Manuel I the Fortunate, King of Portugal, visited the Alhambra Palace, he was captivated by the imposing beauty of the decoration, formed by ceramic tiles of Arab origin which they called "azulejos". Still fascinated by the splendor of the interior of the Alhambra, on his return to Portugal he immediately ordered that the walls of his palace in Évora be decorated in the same way. Choose carefully your strategy to become the king's favorite artist! Azul is an abstract game that will hook players as they run to fill their personal board with brightly colored tiles.
