War is not a silent affair, as the din of battle fills the air with screams, war cries and, most of all, screams of death. The exception to this is the crew of the Greyjoy warship "Silence", as it is made up exclusively of mutes. Fighting these silenced ones is unsettling to even the most disciplined troops because they make no sound even when killed. The silenced have no more protection than light armor, but wield sharp tomahawks that allow them to pierce heavy armor with ease. Furthermore, their good speed makes them suitable for flanking maneuvers or for charging against unprotected or weakened positions. It is advisable to protect yourself well from them, since they throw themselves on their enemies without emitting the slightest signal of warning.
