The AB 41 (Autoblinda 41) was an armored car manufactured in Italy and used during World War II. It was armed with a 20 mm Breda M35 automatic cannon and an 8 mm Breda M38 coaxial machine gun inside a turret similar to that of the Fiat L6/40, along with another machine gun of the same caliber mounted on the rear of the body.
The Autoblinda 40 and Autoblinda 41 had their origins in a request from the Italian colonial police in Africa for the construction of a high-performance armored car. This new design had the engine in the rear and a turret equipped with a machine gun towards the rear. the front area. It had another machine gun in the rear area of the helmet and could be driven from the normal front position or from another seat in the back of the combat chamber. From this design evolved the Autoblinda 40, which began production in the mid-1940s with two twin 8 mm machine guns. in the turret.
