In Gaia Project, the successor to the critically acclaimed Terra Mystica, fourteen distinct factions live on seven different types of planets, and each faction is tied to its home planet. To grow and develop, they must terraform neighboring planets in their native environment, competing with other players. Gaia planets can be used by all players for colonization, and Transdimensional planets can be transformed into Gaia planets.

The game board is made up of ten sectors, allowing for a random layout that ensures great replayability. For two players, the board is made up of seven sectors instead of ten.

All factions can improve their skills in six different development areas (Terraforming, Navigation, Artificial Intelligence, Gaia Project, Economy, and Science), gaining special benefits and advances in technology. Each group has specific skills and abilities that will help them throughout the game

Asymmetric factions with unique abilities, variable conditions, a modular board, and endless combinations make Gaia Project an exciting game with almost endless replayability and fun.
