The galaxy has enjoyed peace for many years. After the merciless Terran-Hegemony War (30,027–33,364), all the great spacefaring civilizations have made a tremendous effort to prevent such terrible events from happening again. In order to safeguard the precious peace, the Galactic Council was formed and has taken courageous initiatives to prevent the escalation of malicious acts.

However, tension and discord are growing among the seven great species and within the Council itself. Old alliances are breaking down and new diplomatic treaties are soon being signed in secret. Confrontation between the superpowers seems inevitable: only the outcome of the galactic conflict remains to be determined. Which faction will emerge victorious and subdue the galaxy?
