The White Castle: Matcha (Multilingual)

The White Castle: Matcha is the first expansion for The White Castle. Matcha adds a ton of new components that will add variety to your games: a new bridge with its own dice, new spaces to gain influence (the tea house) and obtain resources (the pond viewing platform), new clan members (the geishas) and an extra resource, the chasen. You will also have an extra turn to try to get the maximum number of influence points.

The tea ceremony is at the heart of Japanese culture, bringing to life the most essential and elemental concepts of hospitality, respect and Zen philosophy. There, tea, which arrived from China in the 13th century, is believed to have solved the health problems of the Buddhist monks who drank it. Over the years, the tea ceremony evolved to offer samurai a place of calm, away from the chaos of the battlefield.

In The White Castle: Matcha, you will have to deal with a new place to influence the court using new members of your clan. Having your clan members in good seats inside the Chashitsu (tea room) will help you achieve a higher level of influence within the Himeji court. Plus, you'll get an extra action per round. Will that be enough?

NOTE: Inside the box of The White Castle: Matcha you'll find a small envelope with five loose cards. Use them to replace their counterparts, which you'll find in the general pack of cards.
